Skills Training Policy

SiS appreciates the importance of training and development, both to the business and to our employees.  We must be clear about our business goals, and then understand the way in which we need to develop our employees in order to achieve those goals.  It is therefore our aim to ensure that at all times the Company has appropriate resources of employees with the necessary skills, knowledge, experience and attitudes to achieve our present and future business plans.

In turn, we wish to help our employees to realise their full potential, and to develop long-term careers with the Company which will be rewarding and enjoyable.  Training and development requires teamwork between managers and their teams; training can take many forms and we can learn from each other as well as on training workshops.

The most important aspect of this policy is to ensure that employees understand what is required of them, and that they receive the necessary training to carry out their responsibilities to a high standard, and with confidence.  Investment in training should be relevant to the needs and objectives of the business, and should be valued by the employee as personal development.
